Haydn's Creation: St. Stephen's Cathedral

About the Event

St. Stephen's Cathedral is a more than suitable location for the performance of Haydn's most famous work, The Creation.

Joseph Haydn had a very close connection to the cathedral — the Austrian composer sang in the cathedral as a choir boy and married his wife Anna Maria Aloysia here. His Creation was composed within two years and would become his most famous and most performed work.


The stage is not directly visible from seats in Categories 3‐4. The concert presenter recommends Categories 1‐2 for the best view.
