One of the world's top youth orchestra's, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester performs under the direction of Daniel Harding in a program of works by Schönberg, Berlioz, and Schumann.

Since its creation, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester focuses on the democratization of music and the easy access to the best musical formations for young musicians. It has also become a major and dynamic ensemble of the best level. For this evening, the orchestra performs Schumann's dark and troubling Symphony in C major and Five pieces for orchestra by Schönberg. Baritone Christian Gerhaher will join the ensemble for a performance of Berlioz's "Summer Nights".
