About the Event

Directed by Antonio Najarro, Zaguán & Alento is one of the most successful shows of the Spanish National Ballet. Based on the traditional menco but with an eye on the revision of the genre, modernity and goblins shake hands in an exceptional evening. Different Spanish theatres, as well as the coliseums of France and Japan, have received with resounding success the BNE's proposal, which mixes the menacing with tango and jazz in a fascinating fusion for the eyes and ears. Loyalty to tradition and the risk of breaking new ground are some of the driving forces behind a show with which the Ballet Nacional de España returns to the Liceu after the success of Sorolla in 2015.
