About the Event

L'italiana in Algeri is a play that symbolises the card of women's liberation through its protagonist, Isabella, who is capable of putting things in their place before the rude Mustafà. Rossini, at 21, won a total victory with this two-act comedy farce. Despite his youth, the Italian musician consolidated his personal style as the legitimate heir to the eighteenth-century opera buffa.
