Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona is the perfect setting to pay tribute to one of the most groundbreaking figures of flamenco, Carmen Amaya, on the anniversary of her birth and death.

Iconoclastic and rebellious, Carmen Amaya walked her professional journey from the sailors taverns of Barcelona to the White House of President Roosevelt. Her dancing will be honored by artist Karime Amaya (grandniece of Carmen Amaya). The show is divided into three parts: Lejanas Raíces, Carmen y su tiempo y Lazos flamencos de Andalucía, three parts which portrait the varied aesthetic profile and the electrifying pace of the artist.
