Good Friday Concert: St John Passion

About the Event

For this special Good Friday concert, the Konzerthausorchester Berlin will be join by the Rias Kammerchor to perform Johann Sebastian Bach's St John Passion.

Written in 1724 in Leipzig, the oratorio narrates the events of the Passion of Christ as told in the Gospel of John. Compared with Bach's other Passion, the St Matthew Passion, this one is considered be more extravagant, with more immediacy.
