Giuditta: Dresden State Operetta
About the Event
Undoubtedly one of the great masters of operetta, Franz Lehár’s work continues to win the hearts of audiences to this day.
Lehár’s Guiditta was originally performed by the Vienna Philharmonic. Although very much an operatic work, Lehár preferred the description ‘musical comedy’. Packed with beautiful melodies, bold musicality, and sharply drawn characters, it’s a work that breathes new life into the operatic tradition.
