Giovanna Marini is no longer just an artist but a living legend: singer, composer, storyteller, exceptional pedagogue, committed woman, she will have marked our time by a musical as well as social commitment, placing music in the heart of the city, pointing sometimes through caustic irony, always with admirable sincerity and emotion. This evening is a vibrant tribute to an exceptional woman who has made history, accompanied by her accomplices in the mythical vocal quartet Giovanna Marini, and many of her students from Paris VIII — Saint‐Denis University. she held the chair of ethnomusicology, not to mention the many guests whose musical route crossed her own.
