German Reunification Anniversary Concert

About the Event

The 25th anniversary of German Reunification will be celebrated with this performance of contemporary German composer Jan Müller‐Wieland's "Egmonts Freiheit oder Böhmen liegt am Meer" (Egmont's Freedom or Bohemia on the Sea).

The composer describes the work, written in 2014 for narrator, soprano, choir, organ and orchestra, as being about love and humor. It was commissioned by the Munich Philharmonic for the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War.
