About the Event

Three works which evoke the image of an old world at its end and a new world arising from the ashes are on the program of this evening.

Julian Steckel will be the soloist in Ernst Bloch's last work of his Jewish Cycle 'Schelomo'. Ravel's 'Fantastic and Fatal Whirlwind' opens the program of this evening, while Dvorak's 'From the New World' closes the performance on a note of euphoric optimism.
