René Jacobs has brought together a stellar cast for a concert performance of the 'Don Quixote' of Francesco Bartolomeo Conti. The Florentine theorbist and mandolin virtuoso was known across Europe from early in his career, but it was at the Habsburg court in Vienna that his compositional talent came to the fore, leaving behind no fewer than sixteen operas and over 50 cantatas.
