About the Event
Two 'miniature operas', both based on Greek mythology, are brought together by Baroque music experts Christophe Rousset and Les Talens Lyriques.
Purcell's 'Dido and Aeneas' and Charpentier's 'Actéon' represent the peaks of Baroque opera from either side of the English Channel. Full of tragic emotions, both perfectly illustrate the dramatic ideal of love to the death.
