The famous soprano Diana Damrau will sing Romantic songs by Rachmaninov, Mendelssohn and others accompanied by the celebrated harpist Xavier de Maistre.
It was many years ago that Diana Damrau and Xavier de Maistre first performed together at the Festival Hall – and anyone who was there can remember it to this day. Both are stars in their respective fields and radiate considerable charisma, yet they will be dedicating themselves to the most fragile of all musical forms: the Lied.
