David Garrett Trio at Kulturpalast Dresden

About the Event

David Garrett is a phenomenon: at the age of four, he began playing the violin at ten, his concert debut followed. A student of Itzhak Perlman, he attended the world‐famous Juilliard School in New York and then appeared with the world’s leading orchestras and conductors. At the same time, he managed to attract a whole new audience with often spectacular crossover concerts. For his latest CD, »Iconic«, the violinist has been inspired by artists such as Zino Francescatti, Arthur Grumiaux, Jascha Heifetz, Fritz Kreisler or Yehudi Menuhin, who frequently won their contemporaries’ hearts with bravura miniatures. Hearkening back to this Golden Age of violin virtuosos, David Garrett will enchant today’s audiences with the jewels that the great performers of the 1920s and 1930s offered during their own concerts.

»Iconic«
Works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Camille Saint‐Saëns, Antonio Vivaldi et al.
