He has won several prestigious distinctions and awards in famous piano competitions such as the International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, and the Rubinstein and Tchaikovsky competitions in Tel Aviv and Moscow. Piano legend Martha Argerich has said of Trifonov that “he has it all, and then some.”
