Daniele Gatti conducts the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Bruckner's Symphony No. 9, at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
With his last symphony Bruckner gave a prospect on the compositions of the 20th century by using a much harsher style and in his previous symphonies.
The evening opens with Wolfgang Rihm's In‐Schrift.

In the beautiful Mirror Hall there is a summer restaurant where you can enjoy a three‐course dinner before the concert. You can also take a look backstage before the concert with one of the Concertgebouw's concert hall tours. (The tour is not included in the ticket price and can only be booked on the spot)
