About the Event

Encounter the acclaimed Austrian composer in a different mode — that of singer. A childhood in the Vienna Boys Choir added to a talent for combining humor and serious endeavor promises a concert that will be hard to forget.

Songs from Kurt Weill and Hanns Eisler — both an influence in Gruber's own compositions with their jazzy style and determined tonality in defiance of fashion — offer a glimpse of the Viennese wit so intrinsic to Gruber's work.
