The Duo Cordi performs in this matinee concert series at the Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin.

Violin and guitar have played together very well and created harmonious duets since the times of Vivaldi. Some of the “stars” of classical music such as Paganini, Tartini, and Vivaldi composed numerous pieces for such chamber ensembles. This tradition has continued to this day.

The Duo Cordi’s repertoire covers all multifaceted expressions of this exceptionally beautiful music, from Monteverdi to Piazzola and from Baroque to modern music. Their virtuosity and their unparalleled technical expertise, combined with their innovative approach to interpretation, make Duo Cordi a very special ensemble. Its music is truly one of a kind. In the program “Highlights of Classical Music,” Duo Cordi will delight the audience with works by Vivaldi, Paganini, Kreisler, Piazzolla and Corda.
