Opéra de Baugé presents Rossini's masterpiece Il Barbiere di Siviglia (The Barber of Seville) at a sixteenth‐century estate in the French countryside.

The Barber of Seville, Rossini – the best‐known opera of Gioachino Rossini, based on the libretto of Cesare Sterbini, composed in 1816 and regared by many as the masterpiece of Italian comic opera.

Opéra de Baugé is an international opera festival in Anjou, France. It offers its own, new, fully‐staged opera productions each season in a theatre which is specially erected at Les Capucins, Baugé, a historical property dating to the sixteenth century.

During the interval of 90 minutes the members of the audience can picnic in the park of Les Capucins or dine in the restaurant in the manor house (advance booking required). It is possible to bring your own picnic or to order picnic hampers in advance.
