Shakti was a revolutionary group of musicians that successfully fused northern and southern styles of Indian classical music with western style jazz, led by John McLaughlin. Today, McLaughlin brings this popular music concept to the Palace of Arts Budapest.

Joining John McLaughlin is guest tabla virtuoso Zakir Hussain, as well as singer Shankar Mahadevan.
