Dinner & Concert: Yuliya Drogalova plays Chopin pur
Berlin, French Cathedral — Main Hall
About the Event
Step back into history and experience the grandeur of piano music at the beautiful French Cathedral in Berlin and enjoy a delicious Dinner before the concert.
Frédéric Chopin has been celebrated as a master of Romanticism for 200 years. The composer himself loved to sit for hours at the piano and play for himself. As a pianist with brilliant technique, he not only operated the 88 keys, but 'touched' them. We present this beautiful simplicity of his music with outstanding young pianists in the series 'Chopin pur' in the French Cathedral.
The Ukrainian pianist Yuliya Drogalova, who made a name for herself as a child when she was the first prize winner at the famous Prokofiev Competition and began her career as a soloist and chamber musician at the Donetsk Grand Opera House, will kick off this year's Chopin‐pur series featuring young artists. After graduating from high school, she studied in Stuttgart and attended various master classes, finally perfecting her multifaceted piano playing at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin. In her new home, she has since become a sought‐after accompanist, song accompanist, and solo pianist. Look forward to a concert evening featuring Chopin's most beautiful compositions, performed by pianist Yuliya Drogalova.
