Christmas Concert in Potsdam: Vienna Boys' Choir

About the Event

The Vienna Boys' Choir will present the finest Christmas carols at this festive concert in Potsdam.

The Vienna Boys Choir is the oldest boys' choir in the world that does not belong to a church. They are an institution in the history of music and can look back on over 500 years of tradition. From the very beginning they have been active as musical ambassadors: As early as the 15th century, the first choirboys accompanied Emperor Maximilian I to the Reichstag. After the collapse of the Habsburg monarchy, a non‐profit association took over the sponsorship of the choir and promoted its to this day continuing touring activity. In their 'Christmas Concert', the Vienna Boys' Choir presents classical works as well as Advent and Christmas songs.
