Chopin Pur by Alexander Reitenbach at the French Cathedral, Berlin

About the Event

Frédéric Chopin has been celebrated as a master of Romanticism for 200 years. The composer himself loved sitting at the piano for hours and playing in front of it. A pianist with brilliant technique, who not only operated the 88 keys, but 'touched' them. We present this beautiful simplicity of his music with outstanding young pianists in the series 'Chopin pur' at the French Cathedral.

Alexander Reitenbach already studied at the UDK Berlin, the Akademie für Musikalische Bildung in Karlsruhe and at the Musikhochschule Stuttgart, where he has been teaching since 2014. In the traditions of the three great pianistic schools: the Russian, the German and the French, he has developed an unbelievable sensitivity that is audible in the depth of his interpretations. As a soloist and chamber music partner he followed invitations to various piano festivals and concert series in Germany and Europe, as well as in China, Korea and Thailand and gave master classes in Poland, France, Switzerland and Germany. Look forward to a concert evening with the most beautiful compositions of Chopin, played by the pianist Alexander Reitenbach.
