Chopin in Warsaw Tour and Concert

About the Event

There is no Varsovian more famous than Fryderyk Chopin, who is one of the best piano composers to ever exist. While living in exile his music was inspired by the enormous love he felt towards Poland. Love so enormous, that he even wished for his heart to be buried in Warsaw after his death. The tour will allow you to visit all the places that are deeply connected to Chopin and his life as well as end the evening with a wonderful Chopin piano concert.

The Chopin in Warsaw Tour is divided into three parts. The first part takes place as a guided tour of the Chopin Museum in Warsaw. It is a modern museum with multimedia presentations hidden in the historical walls of a 17th century palace. At the museum you will be able to learn all about Chopin’s life, from birth until his death. The museum tour focuses not only on Chopin’s musical genius, but also on his everyday life, jobs and relations with women.

The second part of the tour takes place outdoors as it is a guided tour through Warsaw’s historic districts. The route of the tour will take you to see where Chopin and his music teachers lived, locations of his first concerts, romantic escapades and favourite leisure time spots. The final destination of the tour is the Holy Cross Church, where his heart is buried.

Last, but not least, the third part of the tour is a Chopin piano concert. You will be able to sit back and be taken away by the beautiful music sounds accompanied by a glass of mead. The concerts are held in a small chamber of a historical building where Chopin himself used to play.
