During the week 'Absolut Stravinsky!' honorary conductor Iván Fischer will be guest with three orchestras close to him, which he calls his 'musical families'.
For the third concert, the Budapest Festival Orchestra comes to the Konzerthaus to interpret the unusually cast 'Psalm Symphony' together with the Rias Kammerchor. 'Le sacre du printemps' confronted the premiere audience at the Théâtre des Champs‐Elysées with a completely unfamiliar musical language and caused one of the biggest music theatre scandals ever. The outrage potential lost itself within a very short time and 'Sacre' became one of the great masterpieces of the 20th century.
