Budapest Festival Orchestra & Iván Fischer: Dresdner Musikfestpiele

About the Event

In 2019 the French‐born pianist Alexandre Kantorow had his international breakthrough when he won the first prize and the grand prix at Moscow’s Tchaikovsky Competition. Accompanied by the Budapest Festival Orchestra under its charismatic founder and chief conductor Iván Fischer, he now appears in Dresden in Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1. The Hungarian orchestra will then justify its reputation as one of the leading ensembles in the world in Gustav Mahler’s Fourth Symphony.
