Benvenuto Cellini: Teatro dell'Opera di Roma

About the Event

Celebrate Carnival in true Roman style as Terry Gilliam's vibrant production of Berlioz' semi‐biographical tribute to the great Florentine sculptor comes to the stage of the Opera di Roma.

The American John Osborn has made a speciality of the heroic tenor roles of French grand opera, and leads a notable cast including Elena Mosuc as Cellini's paramour, Teresa. Roberto Abbado conducts this colorful operatic rarity.

Sung in French, with English & Italian surtitles.
