About the Event
Experience masterworks by Beethoven and Bach performed by the Coro and Orquestra Gulbenkian together with soloists under the baton of Leonardo García Alarcón.
Leonardo García Alarcón is Associate Conductor of the Gulbenkian Orchestra from season 2018/19 and has a close connection to Bach ever since he was a child. To him, the music of Bach is something extremely close, as if it were talking to him and advising him. The decisive momentum of a musically intense and fraternal “voice”, as in the case of the eternal last movement of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.
