Seize the opportunity to hear one of today's leading dramatic sopranos in recital at Barcelona's Gran Teatre del Liceu. Iréne Theorin, who also makes her role debut as La Gioconda this season — has long been a favourite with Barcelona audiences. Instead of one of her signatre Wagnerian roles, Theorin offers a song recital of Nordic composers, such as her fellow Swede Ture Rangström and the Finnish Sibelius, with a nod to her Germanic repertoire through works by Richard Strauss and Franz Schubert.
