Bach: Christmas Oratorio IV‐VI

About the Event

Cathedral Music Director Tobias Brommann leads a performance of Bach's magnificent Christmas oratorio at the Cathedral of Berlin.

Bach's Christmas Oratorio cantatas IV‐VI are written for the time between Christmas and Epiphany — that's why the beginning of the New Year is the perfect time to perform them.
The Berliner Dom (Berlin Cathedral) is located on the historic 'Museum Island' and was rebuilt in 1905. It has a richly decorated interior and the magnificent Sauer organ, which was built at the same time as the cathedral. Today, the Sauer organ is the largest organ of the 'late Romantic' period.

The program offers excellent performances of classical music in the incomparable atmosphere of one of Europe's most impressive basilica cathedrals.
