About the Event
Enjoy bravura arias for tenor from the French repertoire in the magnificent Palazzetto Bru Zane in Venedig. Besides works by Offenbach and Hervé — who interpreted some of his roles himself as tenor — Éric Huchet will shine in works by Edmond Audran, Gaston Serpette and Louis Varney.
As in the opéra‐comique, the lyrically light tenors of the operetta are also entitled to the best part of the repertoire. The heroes of the operettas are naïve in the role of young lovers, suspicious in the role of deceived husbands and cunning in the role of oppressed servants.
