Aoife O’Donovan: Songs and Strings — Dresden Music Festival

About the Event

The singer‐songwriter Aoife O'Donovan is one of the most exciting and sought after artists of her generation. As co‐founder of the alternative bluegrass band Crooked Still and the folk trio I'm with her (with Sara Watkins and Sarah Jarosz) or as a singer on Yo‐Yo's 'Grammy' award‐winning CD 'The Goat Rodeo Sessions' Ma, Stuart Duncan, Edgar Meyer and Chris Thile made the American with Irish roots a versatile voice in the music scene. She finds musical inspiration with Bob Dylan, Joan Baez or Joni Mitchell. At the Dresden music festival Aoife O’Donovan will perform her new program »Songs and Strings« together with Jeremy Kittel, one of the composers of the song cycle 'Bull Frogs Croon', based on texts by the US‐American poet Peter Sears, who died in 2017.
