Anne‐Sophie Mutter & Mutter's Virtuosi at Kulturpalast Dresden
About the Event
The Festival audience may look forward to a reunion with star violinist Anne‐Sophie Mutter, who brings her ensemble Mutter’s Virtuosi back to the Kulturpalast for another musical highlight. Deeply committed to support for young artists, she shares her rich experience with the young generation of musicians. Founded in 2011, the ensemble includes current and former scholarship holders of her foundation and accompanies the celebrated violinist on tour regularly. The programme combines Bach’s famous Violin Concerto in A‐minor and the Third Brandenburg Concerto with two works by Veracini and Bologne, who are little‐known today, but were famous composers and violinists in their own time, as well as a composition by Anne‐Sophie Mutter’s late husband, André Previn.
