Anatevka: Komische Oper Berlin
About the Event
Jerry Bock's successful masterwork returns to the stage of the Komische Oper in a production by Barrie Kosky, starring Yehuda Almagor as Tevje and Dagmar Manzel as his wife Golde.
Based on the Yiddish stories about the milkman Tewje by Scholem Alejchem, Joseph Stein created his book 'Anatevka' which served as the inspiration for Bock's musical full of humor and suffering. 'Anatevka' portrays characters who constantly wander between the joy to be alive and catastrophe.
