Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin with Georg Kallweit and Jean‐Guihen Queyras

About the Event

Relish the expertise and commitment of the celebrated Academy for Early Music of Berlin as they play music of the early‐Classical era, with soloists Georg Kallweit, their concertmaster, and acclaimed cellist Jean‐Guilhen Queyras.

Haydn is, perhaps inevitably, the mainstay of this concert, with the late Sturm und Drang Symphony no. 52, and the D major Cello Concerto in store. However, less familiar works are also on offer, including Ignaz Josef Pleyel's Cello Concerto in C Major, and Luigi Boccherini's vivid evocation of Madrid's nocturnal streetlife, Musica notturna delle strade di Madrid.
