About the Event

The royal wedding of William of Orange and Princess Anne, daughter of the English King George II, led Georg Friedrich Handel to his six Concerti Grossi Opus 3 in 1734. They were played together with the specially composed homage music 'Il Parnasso in Festa' on the wedding day during the festivities in St. James Palace.
