About the Event

Delight in the transmission of musical tradition from father to son, from mento to protegé. Cellist Adrian Brendel joins forces with his father Alfred Brendel's pupil, the young pianist and composer Kit Armstrong.

As well as standards of the piano/cello repertoire, such as the Bach and Dohnányi Cello Sonatas, and works by Schumann and Bartók, Brendel and Armstrong will play Armstrong's arrangement of William Byrd's Variations on 'Walsingham' in this late‐morning concert.
