About the Event

The famous violin soloist Julia Fischer is coming to Gendarmenmarkt with the famous British Chamber Orchestra Academy of St Martin in the Fields and her violin colleague Augustin Hadelich. Listen to works by Bach, Dvořák and others in the magnificent Konzerthaus Berlin.

The Chamber Symphony by Russian composer Andrey Rubtsov, born in 1982, will be followed by the Concerto for Two Violins by Johann Sebastian Bach. Antonín Dvořák´s string serenade radiates lightheartedness and joie de vivre. At the end of the programme the first 'Concerto grosso' by Alfred Schnittke can be heard, which seeks to set to music the view of a multifaceted reality using the so‐called 'Polystilistik'.
