A Night at the Opera: Rossini and Verdi at Concertgebouw Amsterdam

The Residentie Orkest accompanies Lawrence Brownlee and Michael Spyres, two of the most prominent tenors in the United States, in dazzling opera fragments. With lots of Rossini, but also Bellini, Verdi and Bizet. Love, friendship, loyalty and betrayal are the elements of A Night at the Opera. BIn this opera gala the centre of gravity is Rossini. You will hear fragments from Otello, the exotic Zelmira and of course Guillaume Tell. The Residence Orchestra is led by conductor Michael Balke, who guarantees 'musical goosebumps', according to Deutschlandradio.
