Noseda, Bronfman and London Symphony Orchestra (I): Shanghai Symphony Hall

Über die Veranstaltung

In this highly‐anticipated concert, hear the mellifluous sounds of classical music by Antonín Dvořák, Dmitri Dmitriyevich Shostakovich and Franz Liszt at Shanghai's treasured and world‐renowned Shanghai Symphony Hall.

American painist Yefim Bronfman has captivated his audience’s hearts in 2017 MISA with Brahms’ Piano Conceto No.2, with his vigorous and firm style, perfect virtuosity and full understanding to music. When this season is coming to end, he will establish his reputation again with two concertos. Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1 in B‐flat minor, Op.23 was not a success when he firstly completed the work, and it received heavy criticism from pianist Nikolai Rubinstein. However, it becomes one of the most popular of Tchaikovsky’s compositions and among the best known of all piano concertos. 48 minutes of tragic, hopelessness, horror, violence and 2 minutes of triumph, this is Shostakovich’s Symphony No.10 in E minor, Op.93.
