Experience the power of Sir John Eliot Gardiner's Monteverdi Choir and his Orchestre Revolutionnaire et Romantique in the Salle Pleyel as they perform Beethoven's Missa Solemnis. Solos by Lucy Crowe, Daniela Lehner, James Gilchrist, and Matthew Rose.

After completing their Bach Cantata Pilgrimage around the US and Europe, Gardiner and his loyal team of musicians and singers approach the work of Bonn's great master -- Ludwig van Beethoven.

The use of the instruments of the day and a small choir allows the listener to contemplate the intentions in this particularly complex work.
