Verdi's La Traviata: Finnish National Opera
O akci
Love never dies! In 'La Traviata', Verdi serves up a richness of melodic flow and elegant orchestration that compellingly conveys both the buoyancy of Parisian society and the pain of separation. Violetta’s death scene is one of the most touching in the entire history of opera.
Alfredo’s family does not approve of his associating with a woman of low reputation, and Violetta is eventually forced to part from him. The young lovers eventually meet again, but by then Violetta is dying.
Performed in Italian, with surtitles in Finnish and English.
