Na tomto dlouho očekávaném koncertě uslyšíte melodické tóny klasické hudby od baroka po romantismus od Vivaldiho, Mascagniho, Rossiniho a dalších, hrané na originálních drnkacích nástrojích v benátské anglikánské katedrále sv. Jiří, která je ceněnou a světově proslulou památkou.
V nádherném prostředí anglikánského kostela sv. Jiří v Benátkách nabízí ansámbl MandolinVenice hudební cestu historií italské klasické hudby od Vivaldiho po Rossiniho, interpretovanou sugestivními tóny mandolín. Koncert představí originální skladby pro tento ansámbl i autorské transkripce, které budou sledovat ideální trajektorii k objevování nejvznešenějších melodií, jaké kdy byly pro tento nástroj napsány, v zážitku, který slibuje, že se dotkne srdce i duše.

This small ensemble was a real find and a great evening entertainment while we were holidaying in Venice. The group ranges in number from a quartet to an octet and all are consummate musicians playing mandolin, mandolin and guitar. The intimate setting meant that we could follow every instrument withe clarity. The control of dynamics especially at pp gave a wonderful delicacy and the tasteful use of rubato breathed life into the music. The nicely varied repertoire was mostly from the romantic era, where the mandolin attained its truly unique voice. We appreciated the insightful commentary which was also kindly translated into English for us. I took my two children to this concert and was not sure how they would react but both loved it! I was disappointed that more people did not attend this concert since this ensemble really deserves more recognition. In summary we had a wonderful experience and I bought the CD.
