Discover The Mysteries of Isis, an extraordinary version of The Magic Flute reconstructed and arranged ten years after Mozart's death by Prague composer and hornist Ludwig Wenzel Lachnith.

The opera, comprising much of the score of The Magic Flute along with bits of other works of Mozart, is a mystery in itself with its checkered background; we do know that its success was complete: with myriad performances, its long‐lasting hold on audiences even caused Berlioz to grumble about the opera in his autobiography. It interfered, he apparently felt, with his own popularity.
