Philharmonia Orchestra London & Salonen: Dresden Music Festival
O akci
London is one of the leading cultural centers of the world. Five professional symphony orchestras of international renown call it their home, giving testimony to the unique performance culture of this city.
The Philharmonia Orchestra was founded in 1945 as an exclusive recording orchestra, its first orchestra educator being Herbert von Karajan. The extraordinary artistic partnership with its current Chief Conductor Esa‐Pekka Salonen is marked by ground‐breaking, multi‐disciplinary projects which explore musical contexts. At the Semper Opera, the orchestra presents a fascinating program culminating in Stravinsky’s Le Sacre du Printemps — exactly 100 years after its scandalous world premiere in Paris!
