Experience Carl Orff's beloved scenic cantata 'Carmina Burana' in Shanghai. The SSO will be joined by the soprano Aida Garifullina, tenor Toby Spence, baritone Thomas Bauer, and the Wiener Singakademie under the baton of Long Yu.
The German composer Carl Orff is famous for his scenic cantata Carmina Burana and the Orff Schulwerk, a method used in music education. Carmina Burana is one of the most popular works of classical music, especially its prelude “O Fortuna”, which is used in numerous films, TV programs and advertisements.
