A great evening in which the superhuman meets the all‐too‐human: virtuosic and erotic in Liszt, sacred and sinful in Wagner, expressionistic in Webern. The solo part in Liszt is played by the Georgian pianist Khatia Buniatishvili. At home, her parents created a realm of literature and music for her later, the artist made a name for herself with hypervirtuoso piano works. She meets the SWR Symphony Orchestra and the Spanish conductor Pablo Heras‐Casado, who conducts both early music ensembles and symphony orchestras with great success and whose artistic range is revealed not least by the program of today's concert.
