At this concert, the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra will perform with exeptional soloists Karen Gomyo and Christian Poltera under the baton of Heinrich Schiff.



“Schiff is the real thing on the podium…his Beethoven was lean and muscular, with the orchestra hair‐trigger responsive”, was how they wrote about conductor Heinrich Schiff after a concert with the Los Angeles Philharmonic. After a performance of Brahms’s Double Concerto by Karen Gomyo and Christian Poltera, critic Paul Hyde wrote: “Gomyo and Poltera, two young and accomplished musicians with international careers, were wonderfully sympathetic co‐soloists, with a tremendous musical rapport. Their performance was one of clarity, vigour and elegance. Each produced a rich and supple tone, shaped phrases eloquently and negotiated the work’s formidable technical demands with ease and aplomb”.
