Festive Easter Concert

 

Today, the music salon of the Mendelssohn family hosts concerts and an exhibition. In earlier times, many famous artists were guests, for example Robert Schumann, Clara Wieck, Franz Liszt, and also Richard Wagner, musicians of the Gewandhaus orchestra, teachers of the Leipzig University, and of the conservatory — all were representatives of the progressive bourgeoisie in Leipzig.
