Eliahu Inbal & Lynn Harrell: Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra

O akci

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the re‐founding of the Seoul Philharmonic by Maestro Myung‐Whun Chung, two legendary musicians — Maestro Eliahu Inbal and cellist Lynn Harrell — join the orchestra to mark this special moment with works by Bach‐Stokowski, Elgar, and Brahms.

Maestro Inbal’s debut in 2014 was a singular success and he has agreed to return for this important concert. Lynn Harrell is one of the music world’s top tier artists: renowned as a cellist, chamber musician, teacher and philanthropist. For his debut with the Seoul Philharmonic, he will play Elgar’s noble and nostalgic Cello Concerto, the composer’s last important work and a cornerstone of the cello repertoire in spite of a disastrous premiere. The program will conclude with Brahms' majestic Symphony No. 1, a work which took the composer at least 14 years to complete and which was hailed as Beethoven’s 10th Symphony, a worthy symphonic successor to Beethoven’s mighty nine.
